Heather Fetrow
Opera News hailed her debut album with “She springs to life tossing off brilliant high notes with a sheen of excitement” and New Jersey Classical praised her performance at Princeton’s Richardson Auditorium with “clear and decisive singing, one wishes to hear her Dulcissime in Carmina Burana.” As an emerging vocal artist Heather has performed at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, with the renowned Washington National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Desert Chorale and in numerous recital series and opera productions. She has maintained a vibrant teaching career alongside her performance schedule. Choirs under her direction have performed at the Strathmore Music Center and with the National Symphony Orchestra. Her students have appeared in national tours and regional theater productions and she has conducted several musical theater and operetta productions. Other musical pursuits include dance and music composition, and advocacy for women in the arts. Upcoming projects include a film production of “Penelope” by composer Cecilia Livingston and collaborations with the Santosha Voice Group. Heather’s debut album, Voices of Women: From Unknown to Renowned with pianist Mila Henry was one of Spotify’s new Classical Albums of Note. She can also be heard as soprano soloist on the Westminster Choir’s Heaven to Earth album in Psalm 90 by Charles Ives.

Heather’s students love her. As a teacher she takes so much care and time to personalize her teaching so each student gets exactly what he, she, or they need. Her Youtube channel demonstrates her prowess in singing a variety of styles which she enjoys being able to share with her students, many of whom sing jazz, musical theater and pop music in addition to classical repertoire.
